Experience
Everyone learns differently. Perhaps you remember concepts better when they are put to music or in written form on paper. Maybe you retain information when you use your body and movement to learn. You might learn better when you have material presented in visual form. If you are unsure of your learning style, we can explore this together and figure out which learning styles are best for you in each subject. I like to work alongside you, and guide you in your studies. I will adapt the lesson to your needs; you will not have to adapt to me. I am not big on lecturing, and am certainly not a know-it-all. Nor am I a human Wikipedia. I don't believe in pushing large amounts of information into your mind; instead, I provide lessons in small bite-sized pieces. I will ask questions a lot, however, you have nothing to fear as I will assist you if you have trouble. Learning and memorizing is important, and yet I will ensure you have strategies and skills for the times you don't have an answer. I look forward to teaching you. I tutor many subjects, including European history, college essays, reading, writing, essay editing, literature, American history, Spanish, and test preparation. I love to read, especially fiction and fantasy.
